Islanders invited to take part in sea challenge

Charities are challenging islanders to take part in an annual sea challenge.
Jersey Hospice Care and National Trust for Jersey are inviting people to swim, paddle, kayak or surf a different bay each day in the fundraiser beginning on 29 June.
This year the 30 Bays in 30 Days challenge was extended by a month to continue throughout July and August so more people could take part, the charities said.
Both the opening swim on Sunday 29 June at 09:00 BST and the closing swim on Friday 29 August at 17:30 will take place at Greve De Lecq beach.
Participants can either choose their favourite bays or they can experience all 30 shown on a map designed for the event.
Alan Le Maistre, chief executive of the National Trust for Jersey, urged islanders to "celebrate and enjoy our beautiful island in this fun and unique way".
Marina Brockbank, community engagement officer for Jersey Hospice Care, said it was "a great way to enjoy our island and raise vital funds for two local charities".
