Could the Thames Estuary be London's next property hotspot?

There are two vast sites on the banks of the Thames in east London and you probably haven't heard about them.

At 100 hectares, Thamesmead Waterfront is one of the biggest parts of London to never have been developed. The other is Beckton Riverside. They're both Brownfield sites and both are two massive potential housing sites within the Thames Estuary earmarked for new housing, shops and amenities.

But at the moment there are no transport links, so the mayor wants government money for a DLR Extension to Thamesmead.

BBC Radio London's Ross Ryan has the story.
